Obituary

Norma "Jane" O'Connor, age 88 of Dexter, passed away at Samaritan Keep on Tuesday evening. She had been a patient for eight days. Jane was born September 23, 1925 in Dexter, the daughter of Neil S. and Mildred Lamon Wilder. She graduated from Dexter High School in 1942 and Mercy School of Nursing and received at BA from Century University in California. Jane was an RN and worked at Mercy Hospital, various Drs. Offices, was a school nurse at Dexter High School and later moved to Florida where she was a Public Health Nurse/Consultant for the State of Florida. She retired in 1987 and returned to Dexter. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Brownville and the Altar and Rosary Society, Association of Retired Nurses, American Legion Auxiliary at Dexter. She loved to watch SU Basketball and Yankee Baseball. She is survived by cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, twin sister Norinne "June" Pitkin, Carol M. Wilder-Calhoun and a brother Kent Neil Wilder in infancy. Funeral services will be held on Friday July 25th at 3:00 P.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Brownville. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 1:00 - 2:30 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Donations may be made to the Dexter Free Library.ome on Tuesday evening a
