Obituary

Pastor Robert V. Cough, age 87, died Monday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. He was born January 20, 1920 in Watertown, the son of Raymond F. and Ida Vincent Cough. The Rev. Robert Cough is a graduate of Watertown High School and Seaway Baptist Bible Institute of Cornwall, Ontario. He was the Pastor at the First Baptist Church, Three Mile Bay for the past thirty years. He was also a former member of Watertown Center Volunteer Fire Dept. when it was originally started. He married Grace Augsbury on June 28, 1947. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm on Perch Lake Road, Town of Pamelia for 25 years prior to becoming a Pastor. The couple has a son John A. at home, and three daughters and their husbands. Carol A. and Michael Buzzell of Clear Lake, Nancy M. and Frank Smith of South Portland, Maine and Robin Rae and Timothy Browne of Southbury Conn. They also have eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He also has two nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Pauline Chapman. The funeral will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. at the Three Mile Bay Baptist Church. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
