Obituary

Paul L. Bellinger, 81 of 122 E. Grove St., Dexter, NY, died Thursday in the Samaritan Keep, Watertown; where he had resided since May of 2006. Born in Dexter, NY, he was the son of the late Willis and the late Muriel (Bloom) Bellinger. He graduated from Dexter High School and served during World War II in the Navy from 01/03/1945 to 07/16/1946. He married Ortha G. Huck on August 16, 1947 in Dexter. The couple have resided in Dexter all their married lives. He was a member of Smith-Savage Post American Legion of Dexter, Elks Club, Pine Drive Hunting Club and formerly a member of Dexter Fire Dept. He was an electrician working for the Dexter Sulphite Mill and later for Boise Cascade in Brownville which later became Brownville Specialty Paper Co. He retired in 1988. He is survived by his wife Ortha and two children, Peter and Carol Bellinger of S. Hampton, Mass. and Hope Kizzer of Dexter. He also has a brother and his wife Robert and Constance Bellinger of Cicero and grandchildren Amelia Kizzer, Kenneth Kizzer and Deanna Brown all of Dexter. He was predeceased by a a sister Doris Kostyk who in 1986, a daughter Beth Brown in 2000 and son-in-law Bruce Kizzer in 2004. Funeral services will be Sunday 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with the Rev. Gail Parsons, pastor of 1st Presbyterian Church of Dexter officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 12-2:00 prior to the funeral on Sunday. Donations may be made to Dexter Fire Dept. and Ambulance Squad or the Charity of One's Choice.
