Percy L. Wagar Jr., age 62 of Kosciusko, Mississippi passed away Sunday June 26, 2016 at UMMC Hospital in Jackson, Miss. following a long illness. Percy was born March 28, 1954 the son of Percy Wagar Sr. and Kathleen Miller Wagar. He graduated from General Brown High School, Dexter. He retired from the US NAVY after serving for 30 years. He was specialized in maintenance of Air Launched Weapons Technology. He also retired from Entergy Power Company in Mississippi. He was a member of Red Bud Springs Golf and Country Club. Percy married Linda Walts---- He is survived by his wife Linda; a son Randy Wagar of Plano, Texas and a daughter Marie (Michael) Chang of Delaware. He has three brothers: Les Wagar, Keith Wagar and Bruce Wagar all of Dexter. A sister Tammy McCargar f Chaumont. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister Wendy Shawcross. A funeral service will be held July7th at 2:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter, NY with Rev. Don Briant officiating. There will be visitation at the funeral home from 1-2 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery with full military honors. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
