Obituary

Perry C. Paro, age 70 of Chaumont passed away December 25th 2015 at Hospice at Ellis Farm, Watertown after a long illness. Perry was born February 15, 1945 in the Town of Rutland the son of Ezeb and Lizzie Fort Paro. He graduated from Watertown High School. He served in the Navy from 1963 to 1967 on the USS Forrestal and stayed with the Naval Reserve until 1968 after he was discharged. He lived in Philadelphia, N.Y. for several years and then moved to Brownville and later Chaumont. He was a truck-driver for several years and later worked for the City of Watertown at the Watertown Airport until retiring on disability. Perry was a member of Philadelphia Post 798 American Legion and the NRS. He is survived by three children: Stephen A. Paro of Philadelphia, N.Y., Rebecca Lane of Sackets Harbor, Michael W. Paro of Raleigh, N.C. He has four grandchildren, two step grandchildren, one great grandchild, five step great grandchildren. Three brothers: Keith Paro of Homer, Harley Paro of Adams, Darwin Paro of Chaumont and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by brothers: Harold, Franklin, Alan, and a sister Betty Satchwell. There will be no funeral or calling hours. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
