Peter J. Munson, 63, of 23745 Cemetery Road, Felts Mills, passed March 31, 2014 at the Samaritan Medical Center.

Born on September 29, 1950 in New York City, son of Alfred Munson and Matilda Peterson, he graduated form high school in Syosset, NY.

He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served 23 years. During that time he worked with the VA Clinic for four years and at Fort Drum as a cook. He retired in 1996.

A marriage ended in divorce.

He was a member of the Watertown Elks Lodge #496, Exempt Member of the Felts Mills Fire Department and he enjoyed watching pro wrestling.

Among his survivors are four daughters and two sons in law, Christina M. and Keith L. Anderson, Felts Mills, Lorrie E. and Patrick Costello, Chesapeake, VA, Peggy A. Munson, Felts Mills, Teresa J. Munson, VA; two granddaughters, Jennifer Carpenter and Emelia G. Costello; two sisters and a brother in law, Janet and Robert Maggio, Long Island, Joanne McFarland, Long Island; a sister in law, Marrie Munson, Long Island, several nieces an nephews.

He is predeceased by a brother, Alan Munson; a sister, Barbara Munson and two siblings in infancy.

Calling hour will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 4 at the Bruce Funeral Home, Black River. There will be no funeral service.

The Watertown Elks Lodge #496 and Felts Mills Fire Department will have services Friday at 7 p.m.

Burial with military honors will take place at the Calverton National Cemetery in Long Island at the convenience of the family.
