Phyllis P. Streeter, age 86 of Clinton St. Apts. died at 6:26 P.M. at Samaritan Medical Center on Tuesday. Phyllis was born May 18, 1924 in Groton, Vermont, the daughter of Delvan and Eliza Annas Paige. She graduated from Groton High School and Lyndon Institute at Lyndon Center, Vermont with a teaching degree. She taught elementary school in Vermont, New Hampshire and New York State. She retired in 1974. Phyllis married Ralph Streeter on August 7, 1950 in Groton, Vt. Mr. Streeter died August 6, 2008. She was a member of NYSUT and N.Y. S. Retired Teachers Association. Phyllis is survived by a son Delvan and his wife Deborah Streeter of Watertown and two grandchildren; Jordan Streeter of Watertown and Mrs. William Kelly Monroe of Dexter. She was predeceased by sisters Margaret Murray and Shirley Grapes. There will be a graveside service at a later date in Vermont. She will be cremated. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
