Randy L. Ives, age 58 of West Kirby St. Dexter passed away Thursday afternoon at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. Randy was born May 26, 1956 in Alexandria Bay to Jean E. Ives. He graduated from General Brown High School in 1975 and entered the Navy in December and served until November of 1979. A marriage to Karen Conklin ended in divorce. He worked for Crowley Milk Plant as a maintenance worker until following an accident; was placed on disability. He was an avid fisherman, woodworker and his family was important to him. He was a member of Teamsters Local 338 of Bronxville, N.Y. and Local 687 of Watertown. Randy is survived by his companion of over 36 years, Laurie Orford of Dexter. Children: Margaret Stevens of Watertown, Joshua and Tonia Ives of Dexter, Jacob Ives of Dexter and grandchildren: Amber Kidney, Aaron Stevens, Randy Stevens, Ryan Ives and Daymon Ives. He has two brothers, Raymond Ives of Rodman and Barney Ives of Watertown surviving. He will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a date and place to be named.
