Raymond D. Kirkey, 57 of Dexter passed away Sunday morning at the home of his sister in the Town of Hounsfield. Raymond was born February 25, 1958 in Watertown, the son of Cecil and Jean Lamb Kirkey. He attended General Brown Central School. Raymond worked for several construction companies until being disabled several years ago. Raymond married Michelle M. Nier in 1984 in Alexandria Bay. Michelle passed away on December 30, 2006. Surviving is a son Cecil R. of Dexter, five grandchildren, a brother William Kirkey of Dexter, sisters Barbara Ames and Audrey Heise of Dexter, nine nieces and eight nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Donald Kirkey in 2010. A memorial service will be held Friday April 17th at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
