Obituary

Rena V. "Mickey&qout Wagar Gracey, age 91 of Hunters Run, Dexter passed away at her home Wednesday afternoon. Mickey was born February 10, 1920 on Pillar Point, the daughter of William and Myrtle Cook Wagar. She attended school on Pillar Point. A marriage to J. Lawrence Gracey on October 27, 1954 in the Town of Pamelia ended in a divorce. Mickey worked at Crowley's Cheese Plant in Limerick, Calavo Fruit Packing in Sackets Harbor and was a custodian at General Brown School District. She is survived by a son Lawrence P. and Anna Ward of Dexter and a daughter Brenda Allen of Albany. She has 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews, and a brother Jack Wagar of Dexter also survives. She was predeceased by brothers Leslie and Percy Wagar and a sister Iva Chamberlain. A graveside service will be held Friday October 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Dexter Cemetery with Rev. Patricia Walz officiating. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to the American Heart Fund in her name. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
