Richard A. Brown Sr. age 79 of NYS Rte 180 Watertown passed away Monday evening at Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown. Richard was born June 8, 1937 in Watertown, the son of Arthur and Lola Ruttan Brown. He graduated from General Brown High School. He married Patricia A. Kalk in 1958 and the couple lived in Perch River. Richard was a Black-top Operator at General Crush Stone in Watertown and retired after 41 years. He is survived by his wife Patricia who resides at Samaritan Keep Home, a son Richard and Rosalyn Brown Jr. of Perch River, and a daughter Karen and Michael Monahan also of Perch River. He has five grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Two sisters: Patricia Locy of Black River and Debbie Brown of Georgia and a brother Robert Brown of Black River, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday October 6th at 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Calling hours will be from 12:00 - 2:00 prior to the funeral.
