Rita H. LaPoint, 93, Watertown, passed away Friday afternoon, April 13, at Samaritan Keep Home. Born March 29, 1919 in Ellenburg, the daughter of Henry and Adah Finch Roberts, she graduated from Chateaugay High School. She married Howard Prairie on Sept. 30, 1940, in Burke, N.Y. After his death, she married Ronald LaPoint on April 8, 1973, in Potsdam. Following his death, she moved to Watertown. She was a homemaker living in Norfolk, N.Y. for many years Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Gloria and Fred Washer, Watertown; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She will be cremated and buried in Chapel Hill Gardens, Dade City , Florida. There are no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
