Robert P. "Bob" Garbutt, 63, of 218 High St., Watertown, passed Monday, August 17 at his home.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 21 at the Sanford Corners Cemetery in Calcium.  Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home,Watertown.

Born on April 29, 1952 in Watertown, NY son of Jack and Hilda (Putnam) Garbutt, he attended Watertown High School.

Mr. Garbutt was a cook and manager at Denny's Restaurant and several other local restaurants in the Watertown area up until he became disabled.

Among his survivors are his loving dog and faithful friend, Honey Bunch; his sister and brother in law, Jacqueline L. and Richard Spriggs, Auburn and a brother, Richard Garbutt and his companion Stephanie Pitcher, Watertown.  He had no children of his own but he was like a brother and father to many of his nieces and nephews; Heather Beckley, Neil Randall, Kathy Taft, Richard Allen, Shawn Desormeau and great nieces and nephews, Amber Spriggs, Jordan Mitchell, Tamara Mitchell, Jena Randall, Cyle Randall, Owen Randall and a great great nephew Levi Quimby. He is also survived by three good friends who were considered his rock, Frank Sampson, Billy Sampson and Crystal.

Bob's home was open to everyone in need and he was generous to a fault and will be greatly missed by many.
