Obituary

Robert L. Loveland, 84 of Warren St. Brownville passed away Saturday February 20, 2014 at his home under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County and his family by his side. Bob was born June 20, 1931 in Brownville, the son of Leander and Vera Barrett Loveland. He graduated from Brownville-Glen Park High School. Bob entered the Air Force in May of 1952 and served overseas for four years and honorably discharged in 1955. On August 28, 1965 he married Nancy Thompson. Bob worked for Trapp Oil, Brenon's Coin Machines in Brownville and later retired from Niagara Mohawk where he worked in the Hydro Department as a welder/ maintenance man. He retired in 1993. Bob was a 65 year member and past chief of the Brownville Volunteer Fire Dept., Allen Giles Post 588 American Legion in Brownville, past Boy Scout Leader. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife Nancy, son- Scott and Michele Loveland and their daughter Kalli; Kim and Scott Foss and daughters Emily and Chloe all of Brownville. Brothers and sisters surviving include: Cecil and NormaJean Loveland of WA, Howard and Carolyn Loveland of KY, Donna and Dominic Doldo of NY, Eulanee and Robert Mott of AZ, Aileen and Howard Scott of NY, Susan and Steve Jones of TN, Carol and Ted Webb of TN and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters: Mary Elizabeth Wills, Doris Huck and Helen Cooke. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County at 1398 Gotham St. Watertown, NY 13601 or the Brownville Volunteer Fire Dept.
