Obituary

Ronald J. Mack, Sr., 68, of 23781 Cemetery Road, Felts Mills, passed January 11, 2017 at his home.

The funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Friday, January 13 at the Bruce Funeral Home, Black River.

Calling hours will take place before the funeral on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A private burial will take place at the conveneince of the family in the Felts Mills Cemetery.

Born on January 31, 1948 in Watertown,  son of Henry and Elsie Booth Mack, he attended Felts Mills High School.

Following school he worked at Champion International later known as St. Regis Paper Co. in DeFeriet as a machinist for over thirty years,  he drove bus for Indian River School Distrct and the next nine years he worked for Lear Siglar International , a maintenance contract co. on Fort Drum, up until he retired in 2013.

He married Jane Mulverhill, she passed before him.

Ronald married Sharon D. Klock on November 30, 1996 at the Woolworth United Methodist Church in Great Bend.  The couple resided in Felts Mills.

He was a board member for the Town of Rutland Fire Commisioners for over twenty years and Honorary Life Member and former Chief of the Felts Mills Fire Department.

He enjoyed NASCAR, tinkering with anything mechanaical but most of all spending time with family and friends.

Among his survivors are his beloved wife of twenty years, Sharon D. Mack, Felts Mills; two sons and their wives, Ronald J. and Dawn M. Mack Jr., Felts Mills, Richard J. and Kerrie L. Mack, Black River; two daughters and a son in law, Tina M. and Brian A. Gagnon, Carthage, Laura A. Mack and her companion, Robert J. Martin, Watertown; two stepsons and their wives, Jackie D. and Shirley A. Childers, Black River, Morris A. Lewis, Indiana; a stepdaugter and her husband, Shannon D. and Evan P. Thomas Sr., Watertown;  two brothers and a sister in law, Charlie and Jeanie Mack, Rutland, Phillip Mack, Watertown; his best friend, Dennis Swain, Copenhagen; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A brother Joseph Mack and a sister Robin LaComb died before him.
