Rosemary LaFex, age 88 of County Rte 59, Dexter passed away Friday afternoon at Carthage Area Hospital Skilled Nursing Center. She had been a patient there for the past two months. Rosemary was born May 4, 1920 in Watertown, the daughter of Gerald and Eva Minkler Traynor. She graduated from Watertown High School. She married Donald LaFex on April 27, 1940 at Sacred Heart Church in Watertown. She worked at Olga Knitting Mills in the early 50's and then went to work at Goulds Inc. which later became Bomax. She is survived by a sons James LaFex of Cape Vincent, and Francis LaFex address unknown. She also has a daughter Judith Sawyer of Dexter, eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Donald on February 23rd 2008; and a sister Elizabeth Gilbo. There will be no funeral or calling hours. She will be cremated. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
