Obituary

Ruth H. Clark, age 95 formerly of Dexter, passed away Thursday evening at Samaritan Keep Home. She had been a resident there since last year. Ruth was born April 13, 1916 in the Town of Orleans the daughter of Wilbur and Stella Jones Joles. She attended school in Clayton. She married George B. Clark in November 1946 at Hope Presbyterian Church in Watertown. The couple lived on Pillar Point and then she moved to Watertown. She worked at Warner Knitting Mill in Clayton, Calavo Fruit Packing in Sackets Harbor and was a Home-caregiver for the elderly. She was a past president of Dexter Senior Citizens, Clayton and Alexandria Bay Senior Citizens. Ruth is survived by a son-in-law Frederick Phillips of Dexter, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews She was predeceased by her husband George in 1994, her daughter Patricia in 2009, and sisters Doris Nier, Bessie Joles, Jessie Sanford, and Avis Joles. Funeral services will be Tuesday September 6 th at 1:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Rev. Paul Gmitter officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 2:00- 5:00 P.M. Donations may be made to Faith Fellowship Church of Dexter in her memory.
