Sandra G. Munson, age 49 of NYS Rte 180, Clayton passed away at her home Thursday evening. She had been ill with cancer and passed away on her parents wedding anniversary. Sandra was born May 26, 1959 in Watertown the daughter of Reginald G. and Jane Hall Munson. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1977. She married Dale Schnoor in 1980 in Texas. She lived in Texas, Iowa, Watertown, Pillar Point and Dexter and moved to Clayton six years ago. She had worked as a secretary for North Country Medical in Watertown, was a waitress , a clerk at O.D. Greene Lumber in Sackets Harbor, also clerked at Dexter Midstate Market and tended bar at the American Legion in Dexter and also Alexandria Bay. She was a member of Dexter American Legion Auxiliary Smith-Savage Post 583 and Dexter United Methodist Church and Girl Scouts as a child. She is survived by her mother Jane Munson of Dexter, four children: David Schnoor of Syracuse, Grant Schnoor of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Michelle Schnoor and Tara Schnoor both of Watertown. She also has a sister Susan Munson of Brownville and brothers Steven Munson of Watertown and Scott Munson of Liverpool, N.Y. Her companion of 17 years Curtis Moore and his children Jason and Jordan Moore of Clayton also survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Pastor Helen Hadley of Dexter United Methodist Church officiating. She will be cremated and then buried at Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9. Donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
