Sharri was born on October 8, 1946, the daughter of Robert E. and Selma L. (Selbe) Ammer. She graduated from Aiken High School in South Carolina in 1964.
In October 1967, she married Keith Gardner, and the couple made their home in Watertown. Her husband, Keith, passed away in 1987. On March 22, 1991, she married Joseph P. Storino in Texas. The couple resided in Texas for approximately 25 years before returning to Watertown in 2015. The couple were blessed with a blended family and through their love for one another, their families became one.
Sharri enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, cooking, and a variety of arts and crafts, most of which she generously shared with family and friends. She was also involved with the Watertown American Legion and dedicated her time to volunteer work supporting mental health causes in both New York and Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph P. Storino of Watertown; her four children, Julie (Woodrow) Rogers of Cape Vincent; Angie (Ray) Roux of Binghamton, NY; Christine Storino of Watertown, NY; Leigh (Stacey) Sullivan of Texas, and a son-in-law, Stephen Rowell of Watertown; four grandchildren, Ashley (Peter) Smyth, Sean McKeon, Logan Roux, and Greta Rowell; four great grandchildren, Henry, Chad, Silas and Eloise; her brother and sister-in-law, George (Anita) Hammack of SC; and a sister and brother in law, Janie (John) Arnold, SC, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her first husband, Keith Gardner, she was predeceased by a daughter, Kathryn E. “Katie” Storino Rowell, who passed away in 2021, and a sister, Valerie Hammack.
Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home. In accordance with Sharri's wishes, she will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, October 21st from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Watertown American Legion 138 Sterling St., Watertown.
