Stephen J. "Bubba" Percy, 54, 30898 of Burnup Road, Black River, NY passed December 6, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County.

Born on August 4, 1960 in Watertown, NY, son of Richard J. and Sandra J. Schofield Percy, he attended Carthage Central and Thousand Islands Central Schools.

Mr. Percy worked as a Dry Wall finisher and Construction for over thirty years throughout NYS, retiring due to his illness.

He loved arm wrestling, playing pool, hunting, fishing, the outdoors and cooking.  He especially loved his grandchildren and spending time with his family.

Among his survivors are two sons and a daughter in law, Stephen Percy Jr., Daniel and Stephanie Percy; his mother, Sandra J. Percy, Black River; four brothers and two sisters in law, Richard J. and Louise Percy, Timothy J. and Sue Percy, Rodney P. Percy and Michael D. Percy all of Black River; a sister and brother in law, Kim and Scott Kitto, Pillar Point; three granddaughters, Kaedan, Bethanie and Ali; a grandson, Christian and several nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Bubba.

The funeral will be 3 p.m.Tuesday, December 9th at the Bruce Funeral Home, Black River.  Burial will follow in the Black River Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Noon to 3 p.m.Tuesday, December 9th at the funeral home.
