Susan M. Kirkegaard, age 56 of St. Lawrence Ave. Brownville passed away Monday evening at her home. She had been under the care of her family and Hospice. Susan was born August 25, 1954 in Staten Island, N.Y. the daughter of George and Marjorie Schmidt Adams. She graduated from Susan Wagoner High School on Staten Island, Luther College in New Jersey and Danner College in Nebraska with a Bachelor's Degree. Susan married Scott Kirkegaard and that marriage ended in divorce. She lived in New Jersey until 1986 when she moved to Brownville. She loved music and the theatre. Susan worked for CASA Resolution Center in Watertown until her health failed. She is survived by a son and his wife Christian and Jenny Kirkegaard of Baldwinsville and a grandson Rexton Kirkegaard of Baldwinsville and her mother Marjorie Adams of Brownville. Her companion Larry Corbett of Watertown also survives. A memorial service will be held Sunday 2:00 P.M. at the Brownville United Methodist Church with Rev. Patricia Walz officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Brownville Cemetery. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County or the Brownville United Methodist church Memorial Fund. .
