Viola Irene Goutremout, age 89, Watertown passed away February 28th, 2011 at Oneida Healthcare, Extended Care Facility, Oneida, N.Y. She was born February 19th, 1922 in Philadelphia, N.Y. the daughter of Mark and Lena Hudson Presley. On September 14, 1947 she married Stanley J. Goutremout at Stone Presbyterian Church in Watertown. Stanley passed away October of 1960. Viola graduated from Mannsville High School in Mannsville, N.Y. in 1941. She graduated from Watertown School of Nursing with her LPN degree. She was employed by Woolworth's Faichney's, and Mercy Hospital. She retired from Mercy's Health Related Facility as 4th Floor Charge Nurse. Viola enjoyed her grandchildren, road trips, dining out, sewing, reading and spending time with her family. She is survived by four children and their spouses: Gary and Deborah Goutremout of Timonium, Maryland, Sandra and Stephen LaComb of Sylvan Beach, Dwight and Kathy Goutremout of Three Mile Bay and Shana and Michael Manassa of Rodman. She has five grandchildren, one great granddaughter and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday 12:00 noon at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with calling hours from 10-12 prior to the service. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery in the spring. Donations may be made to the charity of one's' choice.
