Warren C. "Butch" Hopseker Jr., age 62 of County Rte 125, Chaumont passed away Monday afternoon at Samaritan Medical Center. He had been a patient since November 25th. Butch was born July 19, 1948 in Watertown, the son of Warren and Marie M. Perry Hopseker Sr. He attended school in Watertown. He was a Tree Surgeon in Reading, PA until the late 1980's. He was a member of Watertown Post 61 American Legion. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He is survived by his father Warren Sr. and step-mother Charlotte of Chaumont, five sisters Mrs. Roy (Donna) Wayland of Ortonville, Michigan, Mrs. Leonard (Sharon) Zaffarano of Gouverneur, Mrs. Bonnie Patterson of Watertown, Ms. Sandra Kline of Bath, N.Y. and Mrs. Albert (Georgia) Robinson of Watertown. He also has four brothers; William and Peggy Paul of Tylerville, Matthew Paul of Watertown, Foster Hopseker of Chaumont and Severin Hopseker of Macedon. He was predeceased by a brother Harrison. Funeral services will be Friday 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Rev. Mark Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 7-9 P.M. Donations may be made to the SPCA.
