William (Bill) Kenneth Caswell, 65, of Gainesville, Florida passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in LaFargeville New York on March 11th, 1953.  He graduated from LaFargeville Central with the Class of "71. He was predeceased by his parents Patricia and Kenneth Caswell.

Bill is survived by his wife of 39 years, Betty Doerr Caswell and two children Andrew William (Elizabeth) of Sarasota, Florida and Rita Catherine Ruegger (Patrick) of Gainesville, Florida, three grandchildren, Riley, Isla and Jacob; sisters Sandra Timerman (Ralph), Catherine Running (Sean) both of LaFargeville, New York and Jean Haller (William) of Gainesville, Florida.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1972 to 1977 aboard the U.S.S. Yosemite and was retired from North Florida Regional Medical Center where he worked as a Respiratory Therapist for 38 years.

Although he lived in Florida for many years, the North Country was always close to his heart.  He frequently visited many local websites to keep up with the news, sports and goings-on of the North Country; as well as views of Watertown and the St. Lawrence river.

His quiet support, sense of humor and kindness will sorely be missed.
