William E. Raymond , 70 of County Rt. 62 Watertown died Saturday morning at Samaritan Medical Center Emergency Room after he was stricken ill suddenly at Bedford Creek Golf Club. William was born on January 26, 1940 in Champion N.Y. He was the son of Lyle and Geraldine Worden Raymond. He graduated from Carthage High School in 1958. He married Charlotte Colwell on July 2, 1966 in Sackets Harbor at the United Presbyterian Church. He went to work for the Parker-Sopper architects in 1966 where he worked as a draftsman until the 1980's. After leaving he there, he went to work for the Brier wood Meadow apartments in Black River as the site manager a position he still holds. He also Owned and operated Raymond's small engine service , He also operated Will's wood craft at local craft fairs. He enjoyed golfing .He was a member of Bedford Creek Golf Club. He was also a trustee for the 2nd United Methodist Church, Champion. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte 1 Brother-Lyle S. Raymond Jr. , Groton N.Y. 1 Sister- Mrs. Henry (Muriel )Bickom, Brewerton N.Y. 5 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. 3 Sister-in-laws - Nancy J. Colwell , Sulphur Springs Beverly J. Wright, Clearwater Fla. Sandra R. Colwell, Sulphur Springs Calling hours will be Thursday May 27th from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter .The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Linda J. Harris pastor of the 2nd United Methodist Church, Champion. Burial will follow in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
