Obituary

William John Hoselton, 66 of Rte 180 Dexter passed away at his home Monday morning under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County. John was born August 26, 1950 in Watertown, the son of Gordon and Mary Johns Hoselton. He graduated from General Brown High School in 1968 and Canton ATC in 1970. John worked as a mechanic at Eveleigh Motors, Dexter until they closed. He then worked at Bomax in Watertown and later was Plant Manager at Taylor Concrete until he retired in 2012. A marriage to Vanessa Adams ended in divorce; but they still remained friends. John was a member of Dexter Lodge Free and Accepted Masons serving as Master, Assistant Grand Lecturer for Jefferson District from 2002 until 2004. He was a member of the Dexter Fire Dept. and FACT Car Club. John loved antique cars and showing them often at cruise-ins, antique fire trucks of which he helped rebuild Dexter Fire Dept. antique Brockway. He enjoyed NASCAR races and attending Syracuse Nationals. John is survived by his mother Mary Hoselton of Brownville. He has three children and their spouse: Eric and Danelle Hoselton of Watertown, John and Nicole Hoselton of Dexter, Kerri and Shannon Hoselton of Auburn. Grandchildren include Cooper Hoselton, Kael Hoselton, Dan and Krystal Kurzenberger, Mariah Dekin, Jesseca Dekin, Emily , Allison, Irelynn, and Adrian and 3 great grandchildren. He has a brother Gordon of Brownville. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. The Fire Dept will hold their Bell Service at 7:00 P.M.; a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 P.M. There will be no funeral service. Donations may be made to Dexter Masonic Lodge 1072 P.O.
