Linda May Gibson, 76, of Dexter, NY passed away peacefully on October 11th, 2023, with her loving husband by her side at Samaritan Medical Center.
She was the daughter of Howard and Carol (Wager) Mandore. She was born on May 11,1947 in Delhi, New York.
Linda's educational journey included graduating from New Berlin high school and furthering her studies at JCC and Utica College. She dedicated her professional life to the field of laboratory technology, she moved to the Dexter area in 1981. After gaining valuable experience at Row Feed, Limerick decided to venture into entrepreneurship owning and operating her own lab services, A J Dairy Service.
In 2003, Linda married the love of her life Dennis Gibson, embarking on a remarkable journey together. They explored the world from the iconic Route 66 in Chicago to California, other destinations included Mexico, Ireland, England, the Caribbean Islands and Alaska. Their shared adventures created cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them.
Beyond her professional and travel accomplishments, Linda had a passion for crocheting. Her handcrafted blankets were not just a product of her skill but a symbol of her caring nature. She delighted in gifting these blankets to the shut-ins in the Clayton area, spreading warmth and comfort to those in need.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Dennis, and a son, Aaron J. Prentice, Watertown. Linda's legacy extended beyond her family as she touched the lives of many others with her kindness and generosity.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 10 a.m. to noon at Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. A funeral service will immediately follow at noon at the Funeral Home, with a burial in Dexter Cemetery, Dexter.
