Marilyn was indeed the heart and soul of her family, a genuine matriarch who showered everyone with boundless love and kindness. Her unwavering support and the warmth of her hugs were a comforting constant for all who knew her. Marilyn’s happiness was infectious, and being in her presence was a privilege, as her love was as pure as it was unparalleled. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart, bringing immeasurable joy to her life. Marilyn’s interests and passions were a testament to her vibrant spirit - she relished visits to the casino, the excitement of bingo, the thrill of game shows, and the art of cooking. Yet, her most cherished moments were spent in the company of her beloved family, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love.  She was affectionately known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Grandma Choo-Choo and cherished moments with them through board games and casino outings with her granddaughter, Dani.

She was a member of the Brownville NY American Legion Post 588 Ladies auxiliary since 1954

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Carthage Area Hospital for their care during this challenging time.
