Michael J. Pomerville

Michael J. Pomerville, 48, of Watertown, New York, passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2023, due to complications following a recent surgery. 

Born on May 4, 1975, in Watertown, NY, he was the son of Richard G. and Barbara J. (Collette) Pomerville.

Michael graduated from Carthage Central High School.  Following school he dedicated his career to truck driving, working for various local companies and was currently working for Livingston Moving and Storage Co in Watertown. He had his license to haul hazardous materials and was capable and loved the challenge to haul anything asked of him. 

He was enthusiastic car lover and enjoyed jumping in a car on his day off and goi g for a long drive . Michael’s sense of humor, inherited from his father, was characterized by playful teasing and insults and good-natured banter. He cherished his role as a fun-loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. 

He is survived by his mother, Barbara J. Pomerville, his  companion, Dawn M. Kirkendohl of Watertown, along with her children, Brian and Kiley Clouse, and Aaron Clouse; his siblings: Richard Pomerville of Great Bend, New York; Susan DeLosh of Great Bend, New York; Jeffrey and Rona Pomerville of Felts Mills, New York , Nancy Pomerville of Watertown Center, New York; and James Pomerville of Watertown, New York. Additionally, he is remembered by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard G. Pomerville.

Michael’s calling hours will be held on Monday, October 16th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Bruce Funeral Home Black River. The funeral service will be on Tuesday October 17th at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial following at Glenwood Cemetery.
